Position: Account Executive (AE)
Location: Amsterdam
Reporting to: Head of Sales
Role overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Account Executive to join our team and help us scale our impact-driven investment platform. As an AE, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing inbound leads, converting them into committed investors, and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients. This is a key role in helping Carbon Equity grow our investor base while ensuring the highest level of service and engagement. The role & responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator and relationship builder with experience managing leads from start to finish. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and nurturing inbound leads, guiding them through the sales process from first contact to commitment together with our Sales Development Reps
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with individual investors, assisting investors throughout their investment journey
- Identifying opportunities for growth within existing accounts and upselling additional services or investment opportunities
- Collaborating with the marketing team to align on lead generation and conversion strategies
- Maintaining detailed records in our CRM system (HubSpot), tracking client engagement, and ensuring data accuracy
- Tracking key sales metrics, reporting on progress, and providing insights to optimize the sales process
- Participating in account management, offering ongoing support and engagement to existing investors
Job requirements
Who you are
- Strong communicator with a passion for building and nurturing long-term relationships
- Proactive problem-solver, able to thrive in a dynamic company and fast-growing environment
- Experience working with CRM systems, particularly HubSpot
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage leads efficiently and drive conversions
- Results-driven with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Collaborative team player, able to work closely with cross-functional teams while also managing your own workload
- Passionate about climate tech, with an understanding of the investment landscape being a plus
Qualifications & experience
- 2-4 years of experience in sales/business development or account management, within financial services/fintech being a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch and English (Dutch proficiency is a must due to our focus on local investors)
- Located in the Netherlands or willing to relocate, with a permit to work in the Netherlands
