Time Commitment: minimum 3 days per week, 4 days preferred (starting September 2026)

Are you passionate about finance, climate impact, and using AI to make sales processes smarter and faster? Carbon Equity is looking for a highly motivated Commercial Working Student — AI & Outbound Automation to support our Investor Relations team. In this role, you'll help us automate and scale our outbound sales efforts using AI tools and agents, while also gaining hands-on experience in investor relations, sales, and marketing at a fast-growing investment platform.

What You'll Do

🔹 AI-Driven Outbound Automation (30%)

  • Design and build AI-powered workflows to automate parts of our outbound sales process — from prospect research to first-touch outreach

  • Use AI agents and tools (e.g. Claude, HubSpot AI features) to draft, personalize, and qualify outreach at scale

  • Continuously test and refine automation flows to improve response rates and lead quality

  • Document and share reusable AI workflows ("Skills") with the wider team so improvements don't stay with just one person

🔹 HubSpot & CRM Management (20%)

  • Keep our investor pipeline up to date in HubSpot

  • Ensure all investor data is accurate and complete

  • Support reporting on key investor relations metrics

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to optimize CRM workflows, with an eye for where automation can remove manual work

🔹 Lead Generation & Market Research (20%)

  • Conduct AI-assisted research to build and maintain investor target lists (e.g., private equity firms, family offices)

  • Identify and qualify potential investors for outreach campaigns, using AI to speed up research without losing accuracy

  • Critically check AI-generated research and outreach content before it goes out — you're expected to catch what the AI gets wrong, not just what it gets right

🔹 Investor Events & Community Building (15%)

  • Support the organization of investor dinners, roundtables, and networking events

  • Coordinate venue logistics and invitation management

  • Work closely with the team to prepare event content and presentations

🔹 Creating & Updating Investor Materials (10%)

  • Help develop and refine investor presentations, whitepapers, and one-pagers, using AI tools to speed up drafting while ensuring accuracy and the right tone

  • Ensure all marketing materials have the latest figures and insights

🔹 Ad-hoc Support (5%)

  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas and internal presentations

  • Support strategic projects within investor relations and sales

What You Bring

✅ You're currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field

✅ Given the AI-automation focus of this role, we're specifically looking for someone who is already comfortable working with Claude (or a similar AI assistant) at an advanced level

✅ You're curious about (or already experimenting with) AI agents and automation, and enjoy figuring out how to make a process faster or smarter

✅ You have an affinity for finance & investing, and a strong interest in climate impact

✅ You're organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

✅ You have experience with CRM systems (HubSpot is a plus!)

✅ You're proactive, hands-on, critical of AI output rather than just trusting it, and eager to learn from a dynamic, high-energy team

✅ You're fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
