About Carbon Equity

Carbon Equity is a digital wealth platform that seeks to mobilise private capital at a scale of billions to help solve the world’s biggest challenges, starting with climate change. We do so by democratising access to impact-driven alternative investments such as venture capital and private equity. Founded in Amsterdam, we combine a strong culture of impact, high performance, and innovation with a deep commitment to building a values-driven organization. As we scale, we are looking for ambitious, mission-aligned talent to help us accelerate the global transition to a net-zero economy.

Role Overview

We are looking for a commercially driven and entrepreneurial Distribution & Growth Partnerships Director to accelerate our expansion by building and managing partnerships with financial institutions, wealth platforms, and other distribution partners.

In this role, your primary focus will be on owning the third-party distribution strategy: acquiring and nurturing B2B partnerships, successfully integrating them, and driving partner success. You will also play a supporting role in strengthening our sales and growth engine by helping unlock scalable frameworks and sharing best practices across the commercial team.

This role is central to our growth ambitions — by securing strong distribution partnerships and ensuring seamless investor journeys, you’ll directly contribute to mobilizing capital for climate solutions at an unprecedented scale.

Why this role matters

Scaling Carbon Equity is about more than reaching more people — it’s about creating seamless, trusted pathways for individuals to join our mission. By securing the right distribution partners and enabling their clients to engage smoothly with us, you will:

  • Drive exponential growth through distribution partnerships.

  • Build systems and playbooks that set the foundation for long-term, sustainable growth.

The Role & Responsibilities

  1. Distribution Partnerships (primary focus)

  • Identify, acquire, and manage strategic partnerships with financial institutions, wealth platforms, pension platforms, neobanks, and distribution platforms.

  • Develop tailored value propositions and business cases to unlock distribution and brand opportunities.

  • Negotiate agreements and build long-term collaboration strategies.

  • Create joint business plans with partners to maximize lead flow and conversion.

  • Own ongoing partner management and performance optimization, ensuring continuous revenue and AUM growth.

2. Commercial Strategy & Growth Enablement (secondary focus)

  • Support in defining and executing the broader B2B2C sales strategy, aligned with company objectives.

  • Contribute to scalable commercial models (e.g. fund distribution, co-branded offerings), playbooks, processes, and reporting dashboards.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, investor relations, and product teams to enable commercial success.

3. Investor Journey & Conversion

  • Ensure a seamless investor experience from partner referral to onboarding and retention.

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop co-branded campaigns, content, and events tailored to partner audiences.

  • Monitor the funnel closely, improving conversion through data-driven insights and cleaner CRM management.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach and inspire team members, setting high standards for ownership and execution.

  • Foster a mission-driven, performance-oriented sales culture.

Who You Are

  • A strategic commercial leader with a proven ability to close and grow distribution partnerships.

  • Entrepreneurial and data-driven, combining structured thinking with commercial creativity.

  • An excellent relationship builder and negotiator, able to engage C-level stakeholders at financial institutions and platforms.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, bringing structure while keeping momentum.

  • Passionate about mobilizing capital for climate solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8+ years of business development / partnerships experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, SaaS, or another regulated environment.

  • Proven track record of building and scaling B2B2C or distribution partnerships.

  • Strong stakeholder management and team leadership experience.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to make the complex simple and inspiring.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and sales analytics.

  • Near-native fluency in English; German or Dutch is a strong plus.

What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)

  • Multiple high-impact distribution partnerships signed, integrated, and delivering results.

  • Consistent growth in end-investor acquisition and conversion through B2B channels.

  • A scalable framework for managing and enabling partners is in place, including playbooks and reporting.

  • The commercial team is supported with structures and insights that improve execution and growth.

What We Offer

  • A mission-driven company working on the defining challenge of our time.

  • The opportunity to be part of the mission: employees participate in our stock option plan.

  • A chance to shape a high-impact commercial strategy in a fast-growing fintech with global ambitions.

  • Lots of room to bring your ideas and the mandate to act on them.

  • Hybrid work culture, with at least three days per week in the Amsterdam office.

  • 25 holiday days (full-time contract) and bi-annual company offsites.

  • Full-time (40 hours), in-house role.
