The Role & Deliverables
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join Carbon Equity as the Head of Sales. This pivotal role involves leading the Private Solutions team, responsible for driving B2C sales efforts and expanding our customer base of forward-thinking investors who are passionate about climate technology. The successful candidate will spearhead the team's activities in generating inbound leads, executing outbound sales strategies, establishing partnerships with key financial players, and orchestrating impactful sales events. The Head of Sales must be adept at navigating a fast-paced environment while simultaneously setting strategic direction and executing hands-on initiatives. This role is ideally suited for a results-driven, data-oriented leader with a strong background in sales team management within high-growth scaleup environments.
- Lead the Private Solutions team in driving the acquisition of new customers, revenue growth, and achieving sales targets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, encompassing amongst others inbound lead conversion, outbound outreach, partnership collaborations, and sales events.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and revenue goals.
- Mentor and guide the team in managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Utilize data-driven insights to continuously refine and optimize sales processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Foster relationships with wealth managers, corporate finance boutiques, and M&A professionals to establish partnerships that expand the reach of Carbon Equity's offerings.
- Oversee the planning and execution of sales events, ensuring their effectiveness in engaging potential investors and showcasing our unique value proposition.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and investor preferences to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
- Stay updated on sales tools, AI tools and sales newsletters - to maximise sales productivity and build a culture of constant learning within the sales team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to enhance the customer experience and align messaging.
- Provide timely and accurate sales reporting to the executive team, highlighting key performance metrics and insights.

Your experience & competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position at a (B2C) scaleup.
- Demonstrated success in B2C (or B2B SME) sales, preferably in a high-growth startup or scaleup context.
- Alignment with Carbon Equity's mission to combat climate change by directing capital towards innovative climate technology companies, while democratizing access to climate venture capital and private equity funds.
- Proven experience leading sales teams, setting targets, and delivering results.
- Proficiency in devising and executing sales strategies, encompassing inbound lead conversion and outbound outreach through digital avenues.
- Strong networking acumen and the ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, adept at conveying intricate concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
- Data-oriented mindset, harnessing insights to guide decision-making and optimize sales processes.
- You find ways — you are entrepreneurial and creative in finding new avenues to achieve results.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
