Job description

Investor Relations Manager

About Carbon Equity
Carbon Equity is a digital wealth platform that seeks to mobilise private capital at a scale of billions to help solve the world's biggest challenges, starting with climate change. We do so by democratising access to impact-driven alternative investments such as venture capital and private equity. Founded in Amsterdam, we combine a strong culture of impact, high performance, and innovation with a deep commitment to building a values-driven organization. As we scale, we are looking for ambitious, mission-aligned talent to help us accelerate the global transition to a net-zero economy.

Position: Investor Relations Manager
Location: Amsterdam
Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer

Role Overview

We're looking for an Investor Relations Manager who is excited to grow into the world of climate-focused private capital. In this role, you'll support and build relationships with family offices, foundations, and high net worth individuals who want to make a real impact with their investments.

You'll be involved in the full investor journey — from first contact and relationship building to supporting investors through their decision-making process and beyond. You'll also contribute to improving our commercial operations, including CRM management, data quality, and investor communications. This is a role for someone who doesn't have all the answers yet, but has the drive, curiosity, and interpersonal skills to develop into a trusted partner for our investors.

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds and experiences to apply, even if you don't meet every qualification listed.

What You'll Do

  • Support and build relationships with family offices, foundations, and high net worth entrepreneurs, helping guide them through their investment journey

  • Help develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective investors through outreach, events, and referrals

  • Identify opportunities to deepen engagement within our existing investor base

  • Help organise and host events for our professional investor audience

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on investor-facing campaigns and content

  • Develop a solid understanding of private equity, our fund offerings, and the broader alternative investment landscape

  • Contribute to improving our commercial operations — including CRM hygiene, data management, and AI-supported workflows

  • Grow alongside the business as we expand our product offering

Job requirements

Who You Are

  • A natural relationship builder — authentic, warm, and genuinely curious about people

  • A clear and confident communicator who can make complex topics accessible

  • Organised and disciplined in follow-through — you don't let things slip

  • A quick learner who is comfortable operating in a domain you're still mastering

  • Intellectually curious and self-reflective — you ask good questions and learn from the answers

  • Deeply integrity-driven — you understand that trust is the foundation of this business

  • Proactive and accountable — you take ownership without being asked

  • Genuinely motivated by the intersection of finance and climate impact

Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience in a commercial, client-facing, or finance-adjacent role — investor relations experience is a plus, not a requirement

  • Affinity with financial products or investment concepts; you don't need to be an expert, but you're eager to become one

  • Bachelor's degree in any field

  • Near-native Dutch and English, written and spoken

What We Offer

  • You're part of the mission — we offer all employees a stock option plan

  • Work at a fast-growing fintech with the ambition to change the world for good

  • Lots of room to bring your own ideas and the mandate to actually work on them

  • Hybrid work culture, with at least 3 days per week in the office

  • Full-time (40 hours) in-house position

  • 25 holiday days (full-time contract) and bi-annual company offsite

  • Pension plan contribution
