Role Overview
The mission of the People & Culture Business Partner at Carbon Equity is to build and nurture a high-performing, engaged, and mission-aligned team by leading and owning the entire talent acquisition process while establishing and managing key people operations that support the company’s growth. This role will be responsible for attracting top talent, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process, and fostering a work environment where employees can thrive through continuous development, transparent performance management, and a competitive compensation structure. The People & Culture Manager will be instrumental in scaling the company’s culture and workforce while driving long-term success through strategic People leadership.

Role and Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate is someone who is deeply passionate about finding and attracting top talent and building the best possible environment for employees to thrive.

  • Own and lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including headhunting, sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent across all roles
  • Build and implement a seamless onboarding program to ensure new hires are well-integrated and productive from day one
  • Design and manage a structured performance review cycle and feedback mechanisms to ensure transparent and fair evaluations
  • Develop and execute employee development and training programs that foster continuous learning and growth within the organization
  • Create and manage a competitive compensation and benefits structure, ensuring Carbon Equity remains an attractive place to work
  • Foster and maintain a positive and engaging company culture that aligns with the company’s mission and values
  • Develop and track key HR metrics and data, such as time-to-hire, retention rates, and employee satisfaction, to support data-driven decisions and improvements
  • Ensure a healthy work environment where employees feel supported and valued
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, safeguarding Carbon Equity from any potential legal risks

Qualifications and Experiences
  • 7+ years of HR / People experience, ideally in a fast-growing scale-up or tech environment.
  • Proven experience in leading recruitment processes from sourcing to onboarding
  • Experience with core people processes including performance management, and learning & development
  • Good knowledge of Dutch employment law and compliance
  • Bachelors degree in any field
  • Near native command of both Dutch and English, both written and verbally
  • Located in the Netherlands or willing to relocate and has a permit to work in the Netherlands
