Position: Product Designer

Location: Amsterdam

Reporting to: Head of Product

Role Overview

• As a Product Designer you work with the Product & Tech team to translate user and business needs to designs. You work closely with developers on a day-to-day basis. 

• We are building the best climate investing platform for people  who truly care about what they invest in. Their digital journey should match with the impact they are creating. You care about creating a user experience that makes people proud to invest in our groundbreaking climate investments, share our story and help solve climate change.

• You apply your design expertise throughout all stages of the product development lifecycle, from initial discovery to final delivery.  You enjoy working in a team and being part of a larger vision and mission. 

• You contribute to strategic decision-making by collaborating with the product team and other stakeholders, shaping the direction of our products.

• You conduct both qualitative and quantitative user research to get a deep understanding of our users' desires and needs. You analyze current user behavior, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements.

Qualifications & experiences

• Minimum of 4+ years of professional Product Design experience.

• You have a good technical understanding of the software systems and tools needed in your daily work, like Figma.

• You can take projects from concept to shipping alongside a programmer. Your work requires minimal review or guidance.

• You can set scope and manage projects with minimal oversight or approval.

• You are developing a wide range of focus and find opportunities to make improvements to your work as you go. 

• Fluent command of English, both written and verbal.

• Located in the Netherlands or willing to relocate and has a permit to work in the Netherlands. Carbon Equity cannot sponsor your relocation.

• (Optional) You’re able to write modern HTML/CSS and are comfortable working in our codebase, applying your designs and interactions to implemented code with oversight and feedback with developers.
